Vauxhall has announced the smaller crossover will be called Crossland X. It won’t replace the Mokka X, but will sit alongside, as a smaller but roomier, more family-friendly alternative.

The Vauxhall Crossland X is a compact crossover SUV that's ready for anything you can throw at it. It's designed for urban life with compact exterior dimensions and a functional, family-friendly interior that can handle muddy boots, scattered popcorn and fizzy drink spills without a problem.

The stylish exterior is available in a wide range of colours and there's two-tone options too, for the ultimate style statement.

It's featured packed, technologically advanced and affordable too, with all models equipped with plenty of standard features that make the Crossland X - like all Vauxhalls - great value.

Being just 4.21 metres long (shorter than an Astra), the Crossland X is easy to manoeuvre around town, easy to park and easy to live with. The bold design features a 'floating' roof and two-tone paint schemes are available too.

On the outside you'll also find LED headlights, chrome accents and a prominent front grille which proudly features the iconic Griffin badge.

This is a flexible car with a boot space of 520 litres - larger than any other car in this segment. The 60/40 split-folding rear seats can also slide backwards and forwards, allowing rear passengers to choose between more legroom or more cargo space.

The Crossland X's easy-to-live-with nature is continued on the inside, with well-laid out controls that leave everything important within reach. This includes the touchscreen infotainment system that houses all of your Bluetooth and navigation functionality.

Fitted with Vauxhall's latest infotainment system, the Crossland X is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto too, so you can stay connected on the move.

There's a variety of features available on different models across the range, from styling touches such as diamond-cut alloy wheels and contrasting roof colours to touchscreen navigation, parking sensors and dual-zone climate control.

Depending on your preference, you can choose from a range of 1.2-litre petrol engines (available with 82, 108 or 128 bhp), as well as 1.5-litre 100 or 118 bhp diesel engines.

If you're mostly doing town driving, or aren't doing many miles in a year, you may be better off with a petrol engine that offers a combined high fuel economy figure of up 47 mpg. If you spend a lot of time on the motorway, a diesel engine could be beneficial - these achieve 55-60 mpg on the combined high scale.

Both petrol and diesel models are available with an automatic gearbox.
